Elizabeth Park Elementary
Elizabeth Park Elementary was designed and built to accommodate a population increase in the Paradise area of the Avalon School District, with a capacity for 567 students ranging from kindergarten to grade six. This project was stipulated to meet or exceed performance specifications as set out in the Government of Newfoundland’s School Planning Manual. Key spaces include 24 learning/educational rooms, 2 music rooms, a full-service kitchen, gymnasium, two full-sized basketball courts, outdoor playground, multi-purpose rooms, library/resource centre, staff infrastructure, and common areas.
This facility was also one of the first LEED certified projects in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador, attaining LEED Certified designation upon completion.
